Our focus is on Wiltshire, although we cover Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire too, as well as the city of Bath.
The three counties are quite different –
Wiltshire is a county divided by Salisbury Plain, more populated in the north, with the market towns of Malmesbury, Chippenham and Marlborough providing transport, leisure and shopping facilities. Salisbury to the south provides culture, leisure and shopping, and throughout the county are thriving village communities and excellent state and private schools. There is easy access to London and the west country via the M4 and A303/M3, and the Georgian city of Bath is just over the border in Somerset.
Oxfordshire's main centre is the city of Oxford which provides plenty of shopping, cultural and leisure facilities, and there are also several vibrant market towns such as Abingdon and Faringdon as well as many pretty villages. There is good access to London and the rest of the country via the M40 and A34.
Gloucestershire is famous for the Cotswolds and is the most populated of the three counties with Cheltenham and Cirencester providing the hub for shops, theatres and restaurants, as well as excellent schools. The Cotswold villages are very attractive and there is an abundance of choice of property from large estates to country cottages to town houses. Again there are excellent road and rail communications providing easy access to London and the rest of the country via the M5 motorway.
